eSignature DocuSign is installed
like any other Business Central extension, from the Extension Management page (search for "Extension
Management" and choose Upload
Extension). The license and DocuSign connection logic are built into the
extension itself, so no separate app needs to be installed alongside it.
After installing, open Extension Management, find eSignature DocuSign in the list, and choose Set up this app. You can also search for Assisted Setup and choose it from the checklist there. The guide walks through four short steps:
Step 1 - Welcome. A short introduction to what the guide will do.
Step 2 - Connect to DocuSign. Select Open DocuSign Apps & Keys to open DocuSign's own admin page in
your browser and find your User ID and API Account ID. Enter both
values on this step, then select Connect
to DocuSign. The Connection Status field confirms whether the connection is genuinely working.
Step 3 - Activate Your License. Your environment's Tenant ID is detected automatically. Select Request a License to send NAV SEAL an email with your Tenant ID and company details already filled in. Once NAV SEAL confirms your license is active, come back to this step and select Refresh Status - the License Status field will update to Active.
Step 4 - All Set. Turn on Activate DocuSign now if you want users to be able to start sending documents immediately - this also schedules the background job that keeps envelope statuses up to date automatically. Select Finish to close the guide.
